Presentation of Stakeholders Kick-off Meeting    Tamer Altunay - Team Leader

The kick-off meeting with stakeholders was organised in Merit Nicosia; and provided an opportunity to discuss about the probelmatic areas related to road safety as well as drawing attention of all the stakeholders to the major factors causing road accidents. the following message was delivered in this meeting:

“Road Accidents are a major problem for all of us, but accidents can be decreased by generating a community-widde road safety culture."

“Traffic safety Culture” can only be built by cooperation of all stakeholders.”

The project team showed a movie that remarks on the major reasons of road accidents. Following the movie:

• Project Team was introduced,
• Project approach, methodology and expected results were presented together with a brief explanation of activities

    that would be implemented.

• Project Management approach was presented,
• Opinions and suggestions collected in individual stakeholder meetings are shared,
• Support is requested from thebeneficiaries and the stakeholders,
• Opinions and suggestions are collected from the stakeholders for effective implementation of the project.

This project is funded by the European Union and implemented by Piri Group consortium.
