Road Safety Conference

The conference aiming to discuss the road safety matters with the university students and representatives of the stakeholder organisations, was held on June 7, 2011 in the Eastern Mediterranean University. The presentations delivered were on Road Safety Education and Campaigning Project (Mr. Tamer Altunay), Studies from EU and Turkey on Road Safety (Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ilıcalı), Activities of the DG Police to Ensure Road Safety (Sn. Faik Gümüş), Road Safety Problem and the Cooperation Environment (Dr. Mehmet Z. Avcı), Traffic Education and Research Centre, EMU and the Critical Role of Research for Road Safety (Asst. Prof. Mehmet M. Kunt), youngsters and Road Safety (Mr. Ahmet R. Ömeroğlu).

Following the presentations the conference continued with discussions session. All the presentations were delivered to the participants in a flash memory besides a project booklet containing all campaign materials.
