Communication Campaign
Aim is change of behaviour... We can succeed, if we
believe in change!
For road
safety,
a common
dialog
for
changing
attitudes
and
behaviors in
a positive
direction
is of great importance.
The communication campaign being one of the pillars of the
Road
Safety
Education
Campaigning project
aims
to increase
public
awareness
about
lack of road
safety
and
to generate a
positive
change of
behavior utilising mass media.
In the context of the communication campaign, society is
informed on the major reasons of traffic accidents and
measures to be taken to reduce the number of accidents and
their severity.
Sustainability is a key concern in the campaign.
Capacity building activities are being implemented to
achieve this, including exchange of information and
experience on the targeted and effective campaigns for
improvement of road safety. Excess speed, impaired driving,
violation of right of way rules, recklessness, use of
safety belts, and psychologic factors are
among the key topics, the campaign messages will be
delivered on.
